Machine control is via an intuitive HMI touchscreen that monitors and controls the machines, and can be used to save recipes for operators to call up, which set all machine parameters and ensure consistency from batch to batch with the focus on process repeatability and low operator training requirements resulting in higher part through-put with lower cost of operations. By focusing only on the composites industry, having years of processing/production experience with composites and designing our machines from an end user’s perspective, CDI is able to provide the best value-added composite processing machines for our customers. CDI can modify any machine to better fit the customer’s unique requirements.
The focus on the machines, features and processing capabilities is only half of what is required to have an efficient, repeatable, production line for high quality composite material or part processing. CDI offers a full process support program called TIP, Total Integration Program, which is the “software to the machine hardware and is a fully comprehensive process and operations support program designed to support the operation of the Prepreg and Tubular Structures lines with material sources and specifications, procedures, processes, training and on-site implementation for the manufacturing of advanced composite materials. TIP is designed to run parallel to the machine build process, to ensure that the new machine customers have the materials, procedures, processes and training in place prior to the machine installation which ensures that the customer is able to produce material or parts to their specifications within one week of machine installation, improving ROI as well as reducing the risks associated with implementing new machines and processes.
